How did Mercury IT help Presbyterian Church Aotearoa NZ (PCANZ) get the best value for money software and server solution utilising charity discounts?
PCANZ is an organisation of more than 400 congregations around New Zealand, providing religious education and worship services to local communities.
Mercury IT have been providing PCANZ with hosted server infrastructure for several years. Early in 2017, Mercury IT created a new, dedicated cloud server solution for PCANZ, which helped reduce the monthly costs for the organisation, utilising TechSoup discounted charity software licensing.
Mercury IT also worked with PCANZ to move all emails to Office 365 online, which further lowered costs through Microsoft’s charity licensing programme. Mercury IT and PCANZ now have a complete managed services agreement, where Mercury IT provides the technical support for both the New Zealand-based cloud infrastructure, and the hosted Microsoft 365 solution.
In addition, Mercury IT now provides telecommunications services to the PCANZ head office in Wellington. Telco services include a cost-effective Cloud PBX phone system, with smart features such as desktop and mobile apps, and dedicated UFB fibre internet.
Both IT and telco services are supported through a single helpdesk, and PCANZ has a single point of contact to manage services and support.
Mercury IT now provide the following services to PCANZ:
- Hosted server solution
- User support for IT and telco solutions
- All Microsoft server licensing
- Office 365 licensing
- Cloud PBX
- Fibre Internet
